Yummiest Fast Artisan Bread
8 cups all purpose flour
4 cups hot tap water
2 Tbs dry active yeast
2 Tbs salt
Use large container with lid. Put 2 Tbs salt in container, add dry active yeast and hot tap water. Stir to dissolve.
Add 8 cups flour. Use wooden spoon to stir (about 3 mins), till ingredients are all incorporated and dough looks shaggy. Cover container with lid slightly ajar. Leave to rise for 2 hours. Dough should have doubled in size. Sprinkle dough with a little flour and pull out a ball about the size of a softball. Shape dough into an even ball then place on parchment paper and let rise for approximately 40 mins. At 20 mins of rising, turn on oven to 450F to heat up. After 40 mins, brush melted butter on dough and score with knife to help rise and give it a rustic look. Place dough in oven and put a pan with one cup of water underneath to help crisp the crust. Leave in oven for 25-30 mins. Take out and let rest for 30 mins, then cut and enjoy!
Makes 3-4 loaves bread, keep remaining dough in fridge and use when needed.
