Hope he can come back to the stage. His sensitivity and expression of emotions playing Chopin make him one of the best pianists in the world. His private life is his to live, we judge him by his music and skill. I will go to his concert anytime if he plays again.

l love his running notes, super less padel and fast fingers which make sound so even and clean. It can tell his fingers are all super independent individually, just like hundred pearls fall down from stairs and you can still hear each of them. Enjoy his playing❤️

The best classical pianist to grace the earth. I am a pianist myself and Li Yundi opened my eyes as to what piano playing could be and should be. His perfect technique combined with the ability to express the deepest and most passionate emotions under his masterful hands is the first of any pianist ever seen before (those excruciatingly beautiful passages always brings tears to my eyes even in repeated listenings). He cares and pours his soul into his music playing. I am very lucky to have the chance to see and hear this great pianist in my lifetime. His performances are always exciting, colourful and moving. If he has ever disappointed before, it was probably he wasn't in his top form. When he's at his best, there is no second near enough. It is incorrect to label him a Chopin specialist only, because he plays others - Schumann's Carnaval, Liszt, Prokofiev, Beethoven's Emperor, beautiful Chinese pieces to name a few - with equally distinguishing superb performances. He is a great interpreter of any work that falls into his hands.

+Masquerade J I agree with you that Yundi Li is an exceptionally good pianist. However, before crowning him "the best", I suggest you listen to pianists going back to 1930 to find some equally brilliant performances. Of course, these recordings/videos suffer from inferior technical recording system and electronic wizardry that greatly enhance the sound (at times tailoring it and modifying it so that any "errors" are treated and cured before you and I ever hear the finished product). Don't deprive yourself of the pleasure of learning from the many, many talents that have preceded us. It would be a shame if you limit yourself to the latest and most popular or best marketed ones.

+Masquerade J Grave at 47:53, Chopin sonatano 2 was way to fast!!! He is a good pianist, however in recent years he has become arrogant. His Chopin competition performance was the best ever!! Wishing he would show more humility. I will contact his manager, He was absent from the jury at 2015 Chopin competition in Warsaw, had a wedding to attend in China, why accept the invitaion to be a juror. Also gave the lowest marks for many pianists during that competition. Im disappointed in him. Sometimes too much fame is not good!!!
Yundi, God bestowed you the talent and parents who develop you. Don't give up. Seek a new avenue you are destined for.🙏
