Yvonne is from Hawaii. The Bee Gees and Eric Clapton were managed by Robert Stigwood. RS first hired Yvonne to record a song for his Jesus Christ Super Star soundtrack. She then became a backup singer for Eric Clapton’s solo comeback years, most notably for his hit I SHOT THE SHERIFF which should have a live performance from the 70’s with her and Marcy Levi doing backup that you can react to. She appeared live with the Bee Gees as a guest on a PBS TV special in 1975 singing TO LOVE SOMEBODY (video available). She then included several Gibb songs on her second of only two albums. LOVE ME was the title song of the album and If I Can’t Have You was for the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack. The Gibbs and their band were not in the studio for any of her recordings. Definitely react to LOVE ME, which was an international hit and should have a live video available to react to.

Yvonne has a powerful voice. You should listen to Love Me (also written by the Bee Gees). Love your excitement. Your smile is infectious. Thank you ❤

I love Yvonne Elliman. You should react to her "I Don't Know How to Love Him" from Jesus Christ Superstar.

💃🏻🕺🏼 I’ve always loved this song. You should check out the movie “Saturday Night Fever.” I believe you’d enjoy it. This is one of the tracks on the soundtrack. Among many Bee Gees and other greats. 🙂✌️👍

This looks like a live performance that had the recorded track matched up to it. That was a very common practice on '70s and '80s music TV shows.

Prior to "Thriller" by Michael Jackson, the "Saturday Night Fever" movie soundtrack was the biggest selling album in music history. Yes, it was penned by the Bee Gees.

You should look into the 70's band TAVARES, especially their hit "Heaven Must be Missing an Angel". They also did an excellent cover of the Bee Gees."More Than a Woman".

Next from Yvonne needs to be her hit from the rock opera, “Jesus Christ Superstar”, written by Andrew Lloyd Webber (music) and Tim Rice (lyrics), "I Don't Know How to Love Him” (do the original record release, found here: kzitem.info/news/bejne/l4Jqn41-sl-poKg She appeared in the original Broadway production as Mary Magdalene in 1971 after the original concept LP release in 1970, in 1973 she stars in the original (and best) movie release too.

@AceTheHeart The Bee Gees were the hottest artists during this time. Everyone wanted to work with them because everything they touched turned into a hit! Songs they sung; songs they wrote; produced; backing vocals…they were HOT during this period. You’ve probably heard GREASE, by Frankie Valli from the movie? Barry Gibb wrote this. All of Andy Gibb’s songs during this time; A song by Samantha Sang, Emotions, which really should have been listed as a duo cause you hear just about more of Barry than her🤣. But it was a hit for her. Have you done WIND OF CHANGE by The Bee Gees? Live from 1975 Midnight special. Also…here’s a link of them from a TV show singing their hit from 1987 YOU WIN AGAIN. If you play it to the end, you’ll see a surprise guest. This was #1 for The Bee Gees all over Europe but the US radio stations didn’t play it. Go figure! kzitem.info/news/bejne/qIuP1pWpfJiGiGk

Saturday Night Fever was a big movie and big soundtrack. I suppose it was as big as Star Wars, just in a different way. Try "Emotion" by Samantha Sang for more of the same Bee Gees vibe.
