I JUST WATCHED Garden State for the first time years!! It was a favorite movie of mine when I was a teenager, I watched it over and over. I LOVE that movie….and the cried my eyes out just like the first time! I love Zach Braff for creating such a masterpiece to awaken and guide human beings along this wild journey of life!!

Just finished watching the motion picture A GOOD PERSON.💜 Looks to me like Zach Braff will be trading in his WHERE'S WALDO SWEATER for a hip and sleek Tuxedo to wear at the 96th annual Academy Awards ceremony in 2024. This is the movie we've all been hoping for, and it couldn't have arrived at a more poignant time in our world today. Hats off to you, Zach Braff, you brought to fruition what so many of us are feeling inside, collectively. Best to you!

Please have a second interview with Zach. Loved you both chatting together. His work and viewpoint touch me deeply in a way that is hard to articulate. He has a unique voice but giant heart and seems to embrace life as messy and celebrate it -- which feels like me. (And I ADORE his musical choices). Really great stuff here!

What a wonderful, insightful interview. I'm here because ZB said to come & listen, 💜 and I'm glad I did! First time Rich pod listener, and now I'll go back & check more out. 😊 I saw "A Good Person" in the theater opening weekend and it's a heartbreakingly, powerful film. 😢 Everyone should go see it! Zach, Flo, & Morgan knocked it out of the park. Bravo! 👏👏👏

Just watched "Wish I Was Here" after hearing Zach Braff lament that it never caught fire. I LOVED the movie. It was so funny at inappropriate times (e.g. the rabbi riding the Segway into the hospital wall). It was tender, loving, gut-wrenching, slightly crude and family centered all at the same time, ala "Little Miss Sunshine" Highly recommend!

Zach Braff has brought me so much throughout the years. I *loved* Scrubs and Garden State is in a league of its own. What I find striking is how Zach says that your reaction made him happy. He's a writer with a plethora of words at his disposal to describe a feeling that many people are uncomfortable articulating as "happy." Happiness is a total gift. Much love to Zach, can't wait to see the film. Thank you for being your authentic self. Also, awesome shirt. Rich, if anyone on your team reads my comments, then it is well-known, as Zach shares, the profound, positive effect you've had on my life through the RRP. Your authenticity and vulnerability have certainly been gifts that have made me very... happy. Peace, plants, and love on that back! (*P.S. Now that I've finished this conversation, I feel the same openness and transparency that Zach brings to this space that David Choe did. Oh, artists, the very best.

Thanks for the great interview Rich. It must also be mental telepathy in that I’m essentially benched from running at 58 for awhile due to my back problems and adrenal fatigue. I fractured 3 vertebrae in a car accident and running was making me more tired. Surgery might be in my future but let’s hang in there. I hope to eventually run again.
@marykebester5459

Rich, I am curious if you are taking any medication for the lower back pain? Mine was also super bad (3 of my vertebre had been 80% deteriorated) , but somewhere I listened to a podcast with someone who had similar issues and they completely healed it with with diet. Essential amino acids and calcium helps, but mostly a large daily dose of Magnesium helped a ton. The highest natural source of Magnesium is pumpkin seeds. So I mix those with berries, bannnas and green leaves in smoothies every day and I am barely aware of the pain since I have been doing that daily❤

Stewart McGill: The Back Mechanic. You are not your MRI. Emotions definitely play a roll along with inflammation so look at foods. I had STEM cells which has been amazing decided against surgery. Can't thank both of you guys enough for this conversation -- inspiring on Sooooo many levels. Definitely one I'll listen to again as creative motivation! Wish I could go see "A Good Person" in a theatre tomorrow night, but I live in a small, Colorado mountain town (Salida), where our only theatre has been out of service since the debut of Thor: Ragnarok. Can't wait to see the film when I can get the DVD from our little Library (maybe in a year or so?) .... Seriously, though -- so much love for you both, and Thank You, again.

Psychogenic pain is real. Dr. John Sarno‘s work saved my life from chronic pain. Many elite athletes have recovered. The issue Rich, is that you went running with the expectation of the pain to go away. That’s not how it works unfortunately. You need to be indifferent (like mindfulness - noticing with curiosity) without the expectation of the pain going away. Otherwise you’re fighting and monitoring your pain. Check out the pain psychology center in LA.

Can’t wait to watch this ! Watching it now - Rich probably won’t see this but mentioning your back pain, I’ve had such issues with my right side from my head to my toe and started with an Upper Cervical chiropractor where they only adjust the top two parts of the spine of the axis and the atlas - it sounds kinda wild but it’s been the only thing that’s given me my energy back and I’m plant based too so I didn’t understand having pain like that - if not permitted to mention I understand, I just have such empathy for this kind of pain having experienced it 🙌my doctor has so many people he’s helped with various things

Did anyone else feel like rich was not listening very well and was talking over Zach throughout the podcast, as if rich just wanted to say what he thought and get his opinion out there instead of having a conversation. It also rubbed me the wrong way when Zach was revealing a lot of the trauma he went through during covid and being really vulnerable to share such intimate things and Rick didn’t even really acknowledge it and even made a small joke at one point like read the room man 😭 and then he just moved on to talk about the movie and showed no ounce of empathy

Lots of good stuff in this interview, don't mean to be a hater, but when braff is like "oh I just manifest stuff by saying it will happen and not believing otherwise and not taking no for an answer..." Lol. I mean, how many of us have taken that approach and not reached certain goals for reasons that are very different than simply not taking no for an answer. Eh, so: nepo, born on 3rd, etc etc.
