Marion, Indiana's Zach Randolph scored 23 points and grabbed 14 rebounds en route to earning MVP honors at the 2000 McDonald's High School All-American Game.
Randolph played one year at Michigan State before being drafted 19th overall by the Portland Trail Blazers in 2001. He has earned two All-Star appearances over a 17-year NBA career (as of 2016).
The particularly large defender Randolph encounters midway through his performance is the 7-foot-6 Neil Fingleton, who was born in England and played one game at North Carolina before transferring to Holy Cross. Back issues derailed his basketball career leading to a shift into television and cinema. The tallest man in the European Union throughout the 2000's, Fingleton appeared in Game of Thrones and Jupiter Ascending (among others) before passing away on February 25, 2017 at age 36.
