Man, I was really excited to watch all these, but the heavy-handed Christianity really turned me off. I can't speak for everyone, obviously, but I imagine it would turn off many people who just come here to get an in-depth JL analysis. I almost think you should market your videos as "from a Christian perspective" or something. You have a lot of good things to say in your videos, but man, I really don't like feeling preached to. I mean, you do you, but consider leaning into your Christian angle more obviously, as it might attract more of the people you're hoping to reach.

I was born and raised in a Catholic family and currently I do practice Catholicism and Christianity. Where I personally don't mind the Christian references, this episode did get a little heavy-handed in it. Like I said, I don't personally mind it but it's also hard because there are many people that are not of my faith. Where Christians and Catholics are called to "spread the word," I've come to live by the fact of informing my perspective on things in hopes that people will also see my viewpoint while also not trying to force my religion upon others. I do also agree and Snyder has a tend to have a lot of Christian imagery so maybe things can be referred to as "Snyder's imagery in this scene harkens to the Christian imagery of..." I just think it may get a little repetitive and might turn off viewers from an amazing video analysis. Also its very difficult since people may see this video has misleading as they were expecting 50% Snydercut analysis 50% connecting with Christian imagery

Having recently rewatched Man of Steel, your section where you dive into the Anti-Life Equation gave weight to Jor-El’s emphasis on Kal being the embodiment of a force for good, leading with a sense morality, and especially free will. Which in future movies I think would’ve made Superman’s subjugation to Darkseid and regaining free will very powerful.

I always thought it was neat how the most powerful force in the D.C. canon is weaponised depression.

Absolutely! Hopelessness and despair is more dangerous than a sword. The spiritual battle of the mind. Awesome stuff.

17:41 ok but now you need to deconstruct the metaphor of catholic philosophy or otherwise .. you sound like a preacher telling people to believe i blindly in something they dont understand. if you explain jesus or god as a methaphor for truth..then it would be less confusing to tell people that to love god over all things is to love truth overall things.. and then go on of how it need to be handle through kindness, love, compassion and humility.. cause when people hear Jesus.. unless they have the skill to see beyond the superficial take on the metaphor they are only gonna take the literal meaning and rejected it as religious indoctrination when in reality is a well meaning but flawed attempt of shearing knowledge..shearing truth..

As we have discussed before, I certainly do not want people to believe in something blindly or without investigating it. I like what you are saying that loving God over all things is to love truth over all things. Also, just like you are saying, if you love God above all things, you will exhibit more kindness, love, patience, goodness, etc. I think where we may differ is that I do not believe God is just a metaphor for truth. God is a real being who created the world and Jesus was really a person on the earth who was fully God. Loving God is to love truth because the person of God creates objective truth and can only speak truth (truth we can find in the Bible). I would never want someone to blindly believe in what they do not understand. I do love to teach people about the Bible and how to understand it more though! Thank you for always commenting and discussing. I really appreciate it.

Hey there, so i have answer to the martha/lois/manhunter scene that you struggled with. you’re missed a detail of the manhunters powere. the Martian Manhunter is a telepath and he read Lois Lane’s mind and gave her everything she needed to get back on her feet.

Martian Manhunter has the ability to enter someone's mind so he can easily figure out what Martha's thoughts are about Clark and the way the world sees Superman. It also gives more credence to how he didn't flinch when Superman broke out of his restraints.
