My name is Zaid Abu Ghrabia. I went to the United States to continue my studies in equine science and returned to Palestine to establish Al-Araq Arabian Horse Farm. I remember my grandfather losing his home in 1948 and his precious horses.
Zaid explains:
We import semen from the best stallions around the world, and then we perform artificial insemination on our mares. Within 7 days, we transfer embryos to increase the breeding of Arabian horses in Palestine from one foal a year to three foals.
On heritage and horse care:
"The Arabian horse is part of our heritage and culture, and we treat it as a member of our family. Losing a horse is like losing a family member. At Al-Araq Arabian Horse Farm, we preserve the memories of my grandfather and the way he taught us to care for Arabian horses. I pass this heritage on to my children: Osama, Ibrahim, and Omar, and the love for Arabian horses will remain with us, God willing.
Zaid concludes with a message of love and loyalty:
You will love Arabian horses forever, take care of them after I’m gone.
