I really think Zakk has the best vibrato I have ever heard...most guitar players have a vibrato that expands 1 semitone.....when he really shakes it, his is 3 semitones (.play it at .25 speed and you can clearly hear it)....that is some serious left hand strength-I don't care how the guitar is set up.......especially when he does those crazy runs....such intense playing
@chrisking6695
2 жыл бұрын
Uhm the setup literally can make 3 step bends super easy. Play 8s or 7s and set the action low and give the neck a nice bow (makes the strings spongier ) and you'll be able to bend 5 semitones lol

It amazes how fast and accurate his picking hand is, as he has almost and opposite curl to his wrist vs. What most do. Most angle down at an angle to the strings, and have less pick showing, however Zakk has his hand almost curled upward and a decent amount of pick showing. Absolute master at his craft!

@bona3428

Sorry for the late answer, but in my opinion the action have to be just a little bit higher than usual, so it's still comfortable to play and it helps if you use a thick pick like Dunlop Jazz 3, but Zakk plays Tortex and Ultex 1.14mm

First of all if you ever played the Zakk Gibson you'll notice the super jumbo frets which is like 6000 stainless steel wire Most ibanez have 6100 jumbo which is what i like too EVH. Used medium Jumbo Stainless But the way the notes ring on stainless is a bit brighter, i'm sure Zakk has low action like .52 which is a little high fo some guys .Also you have to have a good neck where your bends never die out or muffle under any bending Musikraft or Warmouth. Or ibanez is the cheapest way to get that the guys who prefer lower buzzy action probably don't play clean a lot and aren't doing country or blues bending

I fricken bought the EMG Zakk Wylde pickups for my Jackson Dinky Pro, and swapped out the shitty muddy sounding stock ones, it was a ton of difference, you can get a pull off of some Digitech effects if ya ain't got all the Zakk gear. Damn Gibsons cost so much! Thinking about trying Jackson's Les Paul shaped guitars and rid myself the headache of a Floyd fricken Rose! Anybody tried the Les Paul shaped guitars from Jackson w/ the Wylde EMG pickups? Keep Metal Alive!
