Zaklopača is a populated place in the municipality of Milići, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The settlement of Zaklopača is also the seat of the local community of the same name, which includes the following settlements: Zaklopača, Vukovići, Gornji Zalukovik, Zagrađe, Podgora, Podbirač, Biljeg, Lukavica and Gerovi.
Number of inhabitants in 1991 - 437 (Bosniaks 288 - 65.9%; Serbs 146 - 33.4%; Others 3 - 0.7%)
Number of inhabitants in 2013 - 280 (Bosniaks 142 - 50.7%; Serbs 138 - 49.3%;)
On May 16, 1992, 56 residents were killed in Zaklopača, 15 of whom were minors. The next day, three more residents and three people who tried to save two women who were seriously wounded were killed. They managed to take them to the hospital in Vlasenica, after which they were taken to the Sušica camp and killed. A mass grave was found in 2004, it was of a secondary type, in the immediate vicinity of the village, and in 2008 a collective funeral was held.
The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina acquitted Radomir Pantić, Nenad Vukotić, Branko Jolović, Milomir Milošević and Nikola Losić, who were accused of having committed the murders of civilians in Zaklopača on May 16, 1992.
An almost identical crime in Zaklopača was committed in the fall of 1941. The Chetniks, commanded by Jezdimir Dangić, captured 80 men, women and children in the local school, and then burned them alive. In 1947, Jezdimir Dangić was tried in Sarajevo. He was sentenced to death.
The school where the crime took place has been turned into a mosque today. It is a school that was built in 1886 and demolished in 1941. It was restored in 1988, then demolished again in 1995. It was rebuilt again in 2006, and a minaret was built in recent years.
