Shambo is like Sawadeeka/Bon Jour? Love how blue and beautiful the beach looks like. sky blue, beach horizon blue, waters blue. uffffff. Looking at your opening sand shots and the taxi stand, this reminds me of the relaxed bvibe found in Havelock or maybe Agatti. A private room for 2k near the beach makes this really affordable. Good to hear that veggie food is available and African folks have done the naan/masala well. But my favourite spot was the semi cave in Nungwi. Just the place to take in shade and sleep

and yes nice sarong on Shishira to open and end the frames :-). A sarong bought in a place is a memory of that region

Jambo. It's a Swahili greeting. But mostly used with tourists. You won't find locals saying that to each other

Nungwi has both sunrise and sunset side - you went to the sunrise side of it, but most people stay on sunset side of Nungwi beach,

We went to, and played in the water on both sides (caught the sunset at the very end) 😃
