Nice looking radio. I know we've become accustomed to the price of these types of radios ('Chinese radio') now, but I always think back to when I first got my ticket in the early 1980's and a how much a standard hand held from one of the 'well-known' manufacturers at the time would have been a few hundred pounds! These radios have amazing functionality (via the programming software) compared to hand held's of the 80's/90's and at such a reasonable price ...ideal for anyone starting out in the hobby and just a great bit of kit for us all. Cheers.

yeah it's crazy how cheap they're getting and they pack more and more into them, I can't wait to see what the next 5 years holds for them because they've come on so well in the last 5 years! Cheers as always :)

@@RingwayManchester Hey Lewis, big fan of your channel. Do any of the Chinese radio makers have a trunking 800mhz radio yet? Cheers from the U.S.

Hi Ian, yeah they look a good little radio. I've toyed with the idea of getting one over the past year or so but I went for the QYT instead. Thanks for the comment! 73 for now

Looks like a nice radio mate. I like the display. Is the programming lead a kenwood standard lead?

Why do all these companies manufacture all these walkie talkie types radios as UHF ?? why do they never do VHF for 2 meters ??
@RingwayManchester

There's more space on UHF and it's a more efficient band for short range comms which is what they're ultimately designed for. I've got a contact at a manufacturer who's developing a dual band 16 channel radio so stay tuned ;)
