Nice video. I want one of these to add to my collection now after just shooting the Box Tengor 54/2. The Goerz lens was a real pleasant surprise. Outstanding really.

First off, thank you much for making this video! My parents are visiting me stateside and brought me a couple of old cameras, include a Baby Box Tengor, that were left behind in an older house they just purchased in Southern France. At first I thought it would be a shelf queen, but after your watching your video I realized mine is appears to be totally functional, so I ordered a roll of 127 to test it out! Unfortunately, mine is missing the pull up wire viewfinder. Would you possibly be willing to measure and pass along the dimensions of yours? I believe I can fashion a replacement if I know how far it pulls out. Thanks either way!

Hi, I really enjoy your videos, especially ones devoted to old cameras like this. This particular model is truly fascinating to me, the perfect little minimalist camera! I live in Denver, I know I can Google it, but do you know of any film clubs in the area (you mention you live in CO), or anything like that? I am trying to meet some people, and get out and shoot more, don't currently drive, still dealing with post pandemic isolation! Thanks for all you do, hoping to get involved in the next project or contest you put forth....regards.

These are awesome and fun and simple for sure. As for film clubs, I don't really know any. But, there are some really good folk at the local Mike's camera locations and the ones in both Lone Tree and Boulder have some staff who might know where some film clubs are. The CU Denver and MSU photo professors (I think the latter has a photography program) may also know some local clubs.

@@DavidHancock Thanks for the tips. I have not been to Mikes's in a while, live close to CO blvd location, guess it moved from Belcaro a bit south....anyway, enjoy your weekend.

Try using toothpaste to clean off the black paint on the red window. It should be just 'gritty' enough to have a positive effect without leaving the window too hazy. Cute camera.

Good idea! I hadn't thought of that. Thank you!

What a cute little camera! I've considered getting a box camera for a little while now. Not this one in particular though. Do you like using these sorts of camera's?

Eh, yes and no. I like the simplicity and the weight, but the size for the image quality is a bit of a letdown. There are some that are good -- the Zeiss 645-format Box Tengor has a good lens and is small. Other 120 models that take 6X6 or 6X9 images can be fun and easy to use. On the other side of the size spectrum, the Kodak that uses 124 film is really good if you want a single-shot camera and load a sheet of 4X5 into it. Any of the ones with obsolete formats like 616, 122, and 113, for instance, should be skipped because they are hard to use with 120 and can be expensive fast since they can chew up the 3-D printed adapters.

Merci beaucoup !!

The best place to check that will be eBay. I don't keep up with sales prices.
