@LTF85199 on this page, a swiss guy(like me) shares his experiences with VGs, some points: -the nose is 2-3° lower ->better sight -no differene in fuelcomsumption -better stability @ all speeds, especially at very high speeds, the aircraft is infact easier to control -aircraft remains controllable durning stall -he showed it to many pilots and all of theme were enthused!

How do you know where to place them on the the leading edge? Is it a different place for different airfoils? That last part with 100% VGs was very convincing with such a high angle of attack!

No it wouldnt, in fact it reduces drag(at least it doeas on a mitsubishi lancer evo) But thats not the point, VGs on an aircraft makes flying much safer if you fly with nominal stall speeds, you get reserves. with VGS you can turn faster, and in case of engine trouble it takes longer until stall, so you have more time to react... sorry im not quite the pilot, nor am i the english speaker but i hope it helps
