Everything's subjective in the audio world I know , but I absolutely love my Zero 2's and I think 7z really got it right with this IEM . I tried the Chu 2's and found them a bit " tinny " or thin sounding , the KBear KS 2's were punchy but a little bright , I didn't like the sound of the OG Zero's very much. They all got sent back and the Zero 2's stayed . They're almost perfectly balanced imo . Just like that last bowl of porridge that Goldilocks ate lol .

I'm new to IEMs, so the zero 2 is my first iem. I love the clarity, compared to the generic headphones I've been using in the $20-30 range. I don't mind the aesthetics. What would you consider a worthwhile upgrade from the zero 2 that has similar clarity and better separation? I also recently got the galaxy buds 2 pro, and i love the bass, but the overall audio sounds muffled compared to the zero 2, so i'd love a tws with at least the zero 2's clarity, which you're saying isn't that good to begin with

Could go to a Moondrop Lan, and further up the chain consider the Simgot EA500

Thanks, that's a great review. I like my Chu 2 so much I barely touch my May and Blessing2. Honestly, unless you're buying them just to support Crin, I don't think the Zero makes any sense.

there is not really any other $20usd iem as safe as the zero with that specific (bright) tuning, zero 2 on the other hand kinda fights with some KZ models with that extra bass compared to the 1, but still, its a pretty safe option for most people entering the hobby, at least they dont have that much QC problems as KZ, you dont need to like it, either the sound or how does it look, but its a good option to have around as most other $20 iems are in the warm side.and there is not much iems that can compare in detail for that price (probably waner is the only one that fights in detail) and the truthear hola is not around anymore.

@jonix24mejor do you happen to know any upgrades from the zero 2 that has similar bright tuning? I'm new to iems, and zero 2 was my first iem, and I love the clarity, compared to the generic headphones I've used so far in the $20 to 30 range.

I have the Chu 1 and the paint chipping + the nozzle oxidization makes it impossible for me to recommend it to anyone, despite the awesome sound quality I bought the Zero 2 and it honestly feels a lot more comfortable because the housing is plastic and the fit is better for me personally compared to the small metal housing of the Chu If I want to upgrade further down the line with an IEM that has a similar type of sound to the Chu and Zero2, which one should I look for?

Tri clarions are most worst tips ever made for deaf audiophiles, this tips managed to destroy sound signature of any iem i tried, i dont know why people popularizing tri clarions, they are so bad;(
