I live in France and as the situation in the country is bad, with particularly severe traffic restrictions, and anyway a deplorable atmosphere, I regularly watch videos showing places in various Asian countries. This is how KZitem suggested your channel to me, not long ago, and today is the first time that I discovered a new publication, since I subscribed. I've watched many of your old videos, and I love your work. I also adored your last work, in this singular place for a European, with a mixture of European influences, partly tropical climate, seaside atmosphere and a very varied vegetation and topography. In short, a total success.

How beautiful! I feel so charmed. I love quietly following the movement of the camera and see what you want to show me. I love the pace too. I love the quietness as well. I do not like the crowd anymore nor crowded places. It makes me stressed. This is the opposite, it is calm and soothing. Thank you.

Awesome as always! Stay beautiful, Japan! You too, Anna!
I visited Hirado in March 2016, and I absolutely love that little town. The Hirado castle is an interesting and educational site to visit. Another attractive location near Hirado is definitely the red suspension bridge across the bay. It resembles the Golden Gate Bridge near San Francisco.
So beautiful. I love the color scheme of that church, it's design was nice as well. I also noticed some power lines were painted blue. It was a nice touch. Overall, it's a very charming and beautiful town.

Oh My..... Anna, this is fantastic !! Of course only 15 seconds into the video you've got us at the waterfront, you "hooked me" there. What a beautiful city, and with such a rich history. For those interested, this was a thriving port in trade with many 'western cultures', thus its history and european architecture, I did a 'Google' on this and found the reading very interesting. The rest of the video is pure "Anna" with the exploration of the towns and hillsides of the area. A curious mix of Asian and western Christianity, with the first Christian missionary to Japan, Francis Xavier back in 1551. This is a work of pure beauty, and delight. A welcome 'time out' and respite in the crazyiness of today. Arigatou my friend, and master of your craft. Be well, stay safe.

Always love your videos! I don't know much about film but I love the quality of the Black Magic you mentioned using. I don't know if you've since changed cameras or alternate between cameras. I always thought you were walking backwards to film backward clips but you actually play them backwards which I never would have noticed unless I saw the car driving backwards and bird flying backwards at 7:09. Anyway much success to your channel. Thank you for making so many videos about my parents country. I hope to return one day after the risk of another covid-19 wave passes. The beauty of Japan never fails to tug at my heart.

Lovely video, as always. You show us the grave of William Adams! My first exposure to Japan was through the story of Anjin-san. He has a lovely resting place. His life story (very loosely based) formed the basis for the novel and later NBC miniseries "Shogun" back when the US only had three TV networks. I think my favorite shots are along the shaded walkway at 11:10. The play of light and shadow along the stones and plaster of the wall is exquisite. Hirado Castle (a reproduction - the original was dismantled then rebuilt several times) is lovely. Your trip through the castle town is fun! What a wonderful polka-like tune you chose. I love it. Then there is the sea. The castle was purposed to defend the domain from the sea. First the Portuguese and Spanish and then the Dutch with Anjin-Miura. The various influences blend together to reveal a lovely town that is deservedly proud of its heritage. Keep up the good work, Anna.

Wow Anna, just wow. I will be honest with you I think I have watched this one 10 times already. This looks like the kind of place to escape to. Just a spectacular view from above at the harbor below. Does that path go all the way to the castle? Seeing that church was a surprise. Is this the first church to appear in your videos? Thanks for sharing. I hope to make it to your country one day.
