I listened to this video this morning after crying and realizing that there’s no me. Watching the video was clear, powerful, and deeply profound. Thank you for the way you articulate these ancient texts. Om Shanti!

I used to be rigid and over-productive, and having understood Taoism better really has helped me feel more at ease overall. But I still have the same tendency to be strong and goal-oriented. Still on my way to finding the right balance and the stability I really need. I used to mainly reside in the Yang state, and I'm now trying to practice more Yin in my life, but that will most likely take time. Hope I can function more like a Taoist and still be a good, useful part of the world. Personally, it's hard to embrace the idea of uselessness as something that can be good. But I know it will make sense to me in the end. I trust the Universe.

Does anyone else find it exhausting to play the role you are supposed to act out daily? also, does anyone feel that relationships with others who think they fundamentally are their role/ego feel draining or lacking a certain depth? any advice would be appreciated

Xiao Yao You in mandarin is broken into 2 group. Xiao Yao (逍遥) mean carefree, no worries, free and You (游) journey. For example: a holiday in mandarin is Lv You (旅游) means a casual journey. Playing a game in mandarin is also a journey as You Xi (游戏), (You here journey, Xi here is drama). Thats why mean later chinese philosophers see life is like a You Xi too. We are our own game, own film director. :)

In Taoism there really is no manual or how to guide however alot of people also like to have structure however at the same time structure also has a tendancy of getting in the way.

As far as religion goes I respect and appreciate all religions however I choose Taoism as my personal religion due to the fact that more so than most other religion it puts emphasis on the fact that we are all responsible for our own spiritual salvation/well being and that compared to most other religions I think that Taoism is the least fanatical.

@@JasonGregoryAuthor part of what I mean by fanaticism is the fact that alot of different religions have a tendancy of attaching themselves quite strongly to at least one specific idea or point of view and even if it so happens that you don't exactly see to eye to eye with the authorities that are in charge then it feels almost as if you are being forced to agree with them even if deep down inside you feel as if you don't.

So no doer no free will complete surrender? Becauae intelligence can manifest it self thru no thought and done by the body alone. Ive tried it. I live in usa. Might end up being one of the biggest rebels on the road and in lines and at stores because I really want to just fully surrender knowing its so peaceful and magical and makes sense when it comes to survival

@@JasonGregoryAuthor I've been studying Taoism for many years and I came to a place in my study where I became acquainted with all the warnings of grasping and striving, I couldn't lie to myself, I knew that my mind was grasping haha, I just hadn't figured out why. I never relented with Tai-Chi practice, 21 years and I am a direct student of Master Yang Jun 6th Generation Yang Family 🙏 I can tell through your clear description of the essential Taoist elements that you have touched the source, seen (felt) consciousness unsullied by thought 🔝 I've learned that are a host of conditions that cause suspension of the mind, luckily, some years after giving up the spiritual journey, it happened. How subtle it is and how quiet, like the quiet of quiet hehe. I have been finding striking similarities in Advaita Vedanta, Zen, etc. to the non-dualistic Tao. I'd be curious to know how you integrate these things into daily life. I came across a the beautiful part of the Chuang Tzu, Inwardly follow nature, outwardly follow man, things are in their proper places ✅ All in all, it seems we (humanity) may be moving into a more awakened state! Incredible if we witness this growth, long overdueeee ❤ ha Great videos my friend 👍, it's a help to all and all is one, true compassion ❤

Is heart mind the same as heart brain coherency? If not how do you follow heart mind? How do you get in that state?
