Very informative video. It will help me grow my Epiphylum Anguligars.

I was just gifted this plant. I think it's so fascinating & wonky. I had no idea they produced fruit, how cool. While I am an experienced Hoya/ Philodendron mama, I have zero experience with cacti. I'm sure this with help, thank you! 💕🌵

Thank you for sharing all these useful tips - I will not eat mine, that's for sure! I just got mine today and placed it next to my Selenicereus anthonyanus. Still looking for a Weberocereus imitans as well because I find these three very funny: looking totally alike but not close relatives at all - according to wikipedia.

Very good video, not sure why there aren’t more reviews, I had to watch way too many other videos that were not half as informative. Learned things I didn’t expect to hear. I do have a question I have not been able to find an answer for: my zigzag is growing long skinny stems because I had it in poor lighting. Do I need to cut off the long skinny parts or just provide more light? If I just provide better lighting, will those skinny stems thicken up? I so regret not changing it’s lighting sooner.

Hey thank you!! Appreciate that!! Yes, you can cut them down leaving a few inches at the base and replant them in the media for a fuller plant, the "stumps" will likely branch and create two new branches at the cut point, if you just provide more light, it's possible that the stems will thicken, however it's more likely that the plant will produce a lot of thicker stems at the base and still have those thin stems dangling down, I hope that makes sense ❣

I have one that has some brownish tips. Now certain if too much sun or not enough water. I have it hanging on the east side and it gets morning sun.

Good video. I have a big ric rak cacti that I had sitting on a shelf. It grew up past the grow lights and what went past the grow lights is thin. Do you recommend trimming it back?

Hey I'm so sorry for not seeing this sooner!!! I trimmed mine back for the same reason, it looked unsightly for about a month but then it rebounded beautifully and it's a lot fuller now. The new growth will likely be a little thicker too

So for a more concise answer haha, yes I recommend trimming it

No worries. I actually ended up sticking it outside where it gets a little full sun. It’s looking so much better. Someone told me if you trimmed it it’ll take forever before it flowers so that’s part of the reason I didn’t trim it. :)
