Stick stroke is ignored if it coincides with a foot chick. MIDI messages confirm this, as only note 27 is registered when both actions happen simultaneously, leaving no way to fix it through external software. Firmware 1.1.
To make it obvious that only chick is audible, I adjusted the module configuration to boost the foot chick volume. With default settings, the issue is even worse - just missed hits due to the low volume of the foot chick.
The problem is especially noticeable when playing an accented stroke by slightly opening the hi-hat, followed by a stick stroke on normally closed hats in the next beat. There's no chick sound because the small hat movement results in an inaudible volume, and the module discards the stick stroke, producing no sound.
I really hope it is module software bug rather than hi hat hardware limitations.
