In 1991-92 I worked in Tulsa at the bow shop. When cleaning out a back room there we found an old box of 8mm film from this hunt. Jim let me take them to college and we transferred them to VHS. I remember watching them. This really brought back memories. He was a great man I really liked him. Working for the family was a joy. I worked a lot in back packing shipping orders and listening to the old 8 track we had on the shelf. In the shop I think he had the front half of that buffalo mounted up on the wall. The mounts he had were beautiful. Thank you Darrel for posting these Tim from Michigan (a long ago co-worker)

Hey Tim! How are you doing? I remember you working with me in the warehouse. Yes these are the movies you put on VHS. I put them on a DVD a few years back.

Thank you for sharing. I collect Ben Pearson’s and am a Traditional Bowhunter. Your fathers work was really respectful of country, people and game. Great film

I still have some of the Ben Pearson Switchblade heads bought back in the 70's when I was a kid. Also have a Ben Pearson recurve. I remember some of these films. One was Jim getting two shots into a bull moose. He was a really good shot.

@@darralldougherty5388 Nice to meet you. That old moose hunt footage was one of the things that sparked my interest in bowhunting as a child. Greatful your dad's work along with others was an inspiration for young people to take on a positive pastime.

This is what is missing from the hunting vids of today , people always ask about what was done with the meat , this shows what is done with the meat , dispersed amongst the tribal folks . This type of filming and not just kill for the trophy is what we need to get back too , it would go a long long way to get animal rights activist off our backs . But sadly most of today's hunters are all about getting the kill and bragging rights on film and not the whole story , all about fame and fortune . Sad , but true .
