Great van choice, definitely a lot to like, we have another van of similar style but I’ve got to say, this setup is super impressive.

Thank you Wayde. We are stoked, so happy with the setup. We are still testing everything but so far the power management hasn't let us down even with now the 3rd day of rain in a row and us using everything like at home until bed time. PS: we love the diesel heater too.

Hi Congratulations on the new Zone and happy adventuring!! Question for you: are you able to advise what the lower vent in your kitchen down at floor level below your induction cooktop might be for? Visible at 20.08 minutes… cheers and see you on the road, Thea and Scott (#ZN558) 🙋♀️

Hi Scott, thank you :-) The gas tap is located behind that 'door', to turn the gas for the cooktop off and on. Also the main switch for the induction cook field and an additional power point is there. The vent is there due to gas regulations I believe. So it might be that those 'gas free' caravans wont have that door/vent. The vent is only on the inside, no outside vent here. Even with the vent in the main door so far the caravan is dust free due to the flap that has to be closed from the outside during travels. Although we found that the cold air comes in during night which is a bit of a pain when the temps drop to 1 degrees like recently on our location. You are not supposed to block that vent when the gas is turned on from the gas bottles ...

Congrats 🍾 we luv our Zone, ZSP034. Great set up with the Y62, we have recently picked up a Y62 also. Can I ask, what suspension upgrades did u do to the Y62? Have u done any other upgrades or planning to the car? Thanks Rob
@asnomads

Thank you, Rob. Yes, the Y62 is a great towing vehicle. The only upgrade we did is Kings heavy duty springs in the rear combined with the heavy duty airbags from Airbagman. No lift kit or other more intense upgrades. We will have our weighing service in 3 weeks to see if we are in the legal figures when the caravan is fully loaded with water, groceries etc. Hopefully everything will be fine.

Is that zone pillow top mattress? What is your opinion about standard mattress but addon pillowtop? Did you tick the diesel heater options? (The colour scheme looks great and enjoy)

Hi Tony, yes, it is the Zone pillow top mattress. It is awesome. We had a mattress with a pillow top in the previous van but it wasn't such a good quality. Still good - but now since we can compare with the Zone mattress with pillow top we can honestly say: wow! It is super comfortable. The great thing about the Zone pillow topper if you order it in your build is, that you can flip the mattress (top to bottom) and attach the pillow top to that 'bottom' side that then becomes the top side. It is attached with an extreme heavy duty zipper. Awesome! Totally worth the money. Yes, we ordered it with the diesel heater and we are glad we did. We had 3 degrees last night near Dalby and the diesel heater kept us cosy inside. It does not need much fuel at all. We probably used 1 litre in the last week, running the heater in the evenings until bed time and in the morning to quickly heat up until the sun warms through the windows. Thanks for your comment, also on our colour choice :-D

Hi, can you tell me if the outdoor kitchen/drop down is now included in the price? When I went to go through the build on the Zone website it doesn't seem to be an option now. Thanks

Hi, yes as far as I am aware of they are now standard because the majority of people ordered it anyway. If you go on their website it is listed there and you cannot tick it off going through the build calculation. We love it. It's very handy, you don't need to pull out a table to place things on it when you arrive at a camp. Just open the kitchen and you're good to go, even preparing meals.
