You *can* stomp through patches, FYI. You can set different chains in an "A/B/C/etc." sequence. Each time you hit the stomp pedal, it will go to the next chain in the sequence. If you look at the screen at the 20:56 mark, you'll see an A/B column to the right. This is where you assign the order. I love this pedal. I use two.. one for amp input, and one for send loop..

I have this pedal and had gigs with it. Perfect for rehearsal or backup unit. I also my go to recording amp for quick demos. I lately experimented for different orders, like adding eq and compressors to the end of fx chain. And achieved Brad Paisley like results. For high gain it is best instead of pushing single amp or distortion to it's max and rather use classic boost and amp together. It is also useful trying different cabs. I could wish Windows and Android manager. and Bluetooth MIDI pedal use. Though I know it is rather a fantasy, which you can do remaining MS-50G and MS-70 CDR units. You can even add fx via unofficial Zoom Effect Manager Software. Shame just this model discontinued, Still 2 Thumbs up after all these years.

Thanks for another great video - and the great song at the beginning! Umm, at 20:41 you are mistaken about ability to cycle through patches. I have designated 6 and regularly use them in practice. Also, you can arrange effects in any order, i.e. compressor after amp!

I have to say that I really appreciate Chappers honesty with regards to what he did not like regarding this peddle. I feel that is why I not only watch these videos, but why I feel confident about the products that you review. I will not get a water down bullshit review, but a honest review with the issues or even what an item is lacking, and if the item is really for home use or gigging. Thank you Captain and Chappers for your integrity.

nice effects but seems like massively cheapens the guitar signal even in true bypass, otherwise something like the ms70cdr would be like some amazing strymon pedal
@grumpyoldmanracing
10 жыл бұрын
Its not true bypass. The pedal is always on and effects the signal dramatically even when not engaged. You can use a line selector effects in the 1sy position as a work around but it is pain and you shouldn't have to. The only way to use this pedal on a board is in an isolated loop. Used like this it is fantastic but count on a bigger pedalboard and a looper in your costs. Joyo do both relatively cheap and well but still to use it properly is a 500 dollar investment not a 200 dollat one as the review suggests.

@martinkrauser4029
7 жыл бұрын
Obviously, that would be the standard solution that works with everything. It's a very affordable unit, guess they have to cut costs somewhere. :/ But I'm sure it's possible to hack together an interface from MIDI to USB to connect your ES8, if there isn't one available for purchase somewhere. It probably is! I just got the MS70CDR, and I'm in love with it. It sounds like the much more expensive pedals it emulates, and the value is unmatched.
@brunoluznunes

Moust peaple use the line6 M5 because it can do midi. It's usable live and the same price as the zoom. Only one effect at a time but you can change them on the fly via a midi footswitch...the zoom sounds really god but it's not simple to use live
@martinkrauser4029
7 жыл бұрын
One effect at a time is really not comparable to what the Zoom does. You can switch between presets with the footswitch on the Zoom. You'd need a *lot* of switching in one song for it to be overwhelming. But for midi support, you need a MIDI to USB host. Those are either costly to buy, or you need to make them yourself.
