Thanks for watching! The R series has been around for a long time now. I once had a BOSS BR 80. While it was small and portable, it threw a lot of stones in your way with it's complicated user interface and the fact you had to convert the audio before being able to use it on you PC.

Pretty cool device, I'd never heard of it. I have a Zoom H6 and my biggest complaint about it is that it doesn't have a li-on battery (and it KILLS regular batteries far too fast to even consider rechargeables). Anyway, this looks pretty cool, I'll check it out further. Thanks for the video Floyd, excellent quality presentation, as always.

Thanks! This the center of my setup (so I try to never own more than 4 hardware synths at once ;-) ) Recording quality is great and it's nice to have an 8 port audio input / remote control for your DAW, too. Even has some mastering effects and presets built in that I use quite a lot. Batteries run long enough for extended sessions (I think the H6's nice color screen eats a lot of battery power).

Thanks! It's a cool guitar. Only downsides: It needs batteries to run and the built quality is that of a beginner's guitar (sharp edges on the frets, the bend stick rattles). But it does look nice and it's very playable. And the sounds are really nice. I always wonder how exactly these virtual guitars work. There's no latency at all.

Thanks Floyd. Much appreciate everything I watch of yours. Ever think to do a series for the Korg Nautilus? I can’t get much from other video’s. Simple things I have the biggest problems understanding. It’s the rule’s of playing around with the sounds without effecting the original’s and saving every program/combi is a real feeling breaker. It’s the rules of noodling around l think companies assume anyone that buys a synth should know? But, I guess I’m a backward learner sometimes.

It's possible spreading the drum sequences on more than 1 track, using the pattern sequencer to let them begin and end at different measures. (That's really complicated).

Thank you very much! Unfortunately, that's how it works. You have to occupy 8 tracks in that scenario. But you can render it into an audio track once you're finished with the drums, freeing up space.

I have this and love this. Had the Yamaha AW2816 and the Boss BR-8 before. Weird thing is no stereo delay on this, you can only pan the mono delay which applies for all tracks? I've emailed Zoom and never heard back. Love your videos.
@mr_floydst
2 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much! Yes, there's no stereo delay on this. You can kind of trick one by panning the delay a bit to one side and the original signal a bit to the other side, but it's not really the same. You can use delay on single tracks by pressing the "chorus" button in the effects menu, and then changing the effect type to delay. After that, open the "pan" menu and adjust the chorus value (which now will be delay).

Hello, thanks for watching! I don't use Pro Tools, so I'm afraid I can't answer that (maybe some of my viewers can?). But "normally", just install ZOOMs drivers. Set up your DAW to use the ZOOM ASIO drivers. Your R24 will then appear as a MIDI and an Audio device. You can then use a MIDI controller template to assign all the faders and buttons to your DAW, and if there's no template, you can use the "MIDI learn" function. Best regards (and a good new year)
