Hmm.. I have bought so many vocal sample libraries over the years, as I can't sing.. and this seems like it would make matching the vocal sample to the music a snap.. instead of tedious editing in melodyne moving note by note.

Hopefully at least in 10 years music will progress and plugin developers will support outside the bounds of 12 EDO.

which is better Zynaptic Pitchmap or Retune?

Subjective, I think. In my opinion, PitchMap sounds better on polyphonic material, and appears to have a richer user interface with more features and options - but there is also the price point to consider: PitchMap is three times as expensive, and reTune might have everything you need. If I wanted to work primarily with monophonic material, I wouldn't personally shell out for PitchMap - reTune sounds great for that. But there is clearly a reason for the 3 x price point - PitchMap is a more advanced product and may work better on polyphonic material; it's really subjective though, there is no way to "measure" which product is better, you can only listen and judge for yourself :-)

PitchMap if you can pick it up for $89 which they sell it for sometimes

Don't buy PitchMap, because when you change the key on PitchMap, it acts like a pitch shifter, for example: if you change the key to F, it makes your voice sound like a chipmunk, and key G makes your voice sound deep. reTune is better quality and more accurate, because it doesn't do a weird pitch shifting effect, when you change the incoming key.
