I love the water line series of model ships, I do not find rudders and propeller that exciting.

Thank you for your comment. Cruiser Mogami is very easy to assemble, but her aircraft are very small.

most important for an amateur builder like myself is that you showed your build to paint process. it’s kind of daunting to figure out when is the best time to paint before proceeding with the rest of the build. it’s the methodology that can make me overthink and really slow me down.

Vraiment tres `petit pour moi ! On a un mauvais aperçu du navire ...Un bon résultat tout de mm , bravo ...
The pontoons of seaplanes greatly affect the speed and agility of the aircraft. Seaplanes can only be used as reconnaissance or rescue aircraft. And the Japanese are obsessed with designing them as fighters. It's weird.🤔🤔🤔

Mogami's carrier-based planes were all reconnaissance planes. However, many seaplane fighters were also built. This is because there are many small islands in Southeast Asia surrounded by coral reefs that cannot be berthed by large ships. Also, there was no material to build an aircraft carrier.

@@dessan-paisen I see. However, it is not wise to be designed as a fighter. This would be a target for the F6F and F4U that dive down from high altitudes. The loss of fighters and experienced pilots would be not worth the cost. It is better to build an airstrip on the island.

I think so too. The General Staff at the time was working on the wrong plan. Japan was the only country in World War II to use seaplanes and biplanes.

Curious to know why you wash the parts tree.

It felt a little sticky to the touch. I washed it with a neutral detergent because any mold release agent left behind could cause the paint to repel.

Have you ever done a class b cruiser of the Mogami class or Tone class cruiser?
@dessan-paisen
Жыл бұрын
I assembled both Fujimi version and Aoshima version of Tone type Chikuma. It was my first offshore model, and that's when my love for ships began.

The ship at the thumbnail background. Is it a Takao class cruiser?

That's right. Takao class 4th ship "Chokai". The ship is only half shown, but I was surprised that you knew so much.

Thank you. "Chokai" was the first ship video I made two years ago, so I wasn't good at editing the video or making the model. I am preparing to create a new "Takao".
