Part 1: • Zuckermann (ZHI) Huber...
Part 0 (playing): • Honky-tonk Clavichord
n.b., Regarding the keyboard, I forgot to mention that the sharps were also a mess, requiring levelling & narrowing. To ZHI's credit, the bone tops are surprisingly thick...
n.b.2., Now that I think about it more, the bottom twist I mention was actually pretty bad. One corner was up perhaps 2 mm or more! So, there's another thing to critically inspect should you buy a kit.
n.b.3., The shop had no record of their own wrapped string design!!! OK...that's not 100% true. They sent me a table showing the wrap wire diameter per note, and told me the core size (same for all). They even sent me said core...after much...discussion. But they didn't know the wrapping pitch. Fortunately, one of the supplied photos had a just-barely-clear-enough view of the bass strings, and I was able to calculate pitches from that! I sure hope those strings are using the same design as the table they supplied! I asked for a better picture, but that seemed beyond their abilities.
