This brings back memories! I built the Testors/Italeri AC130A Gunship about 30 years ago, which at the time was the biggest model kit and one of the better detailed ones I had ever built. But I'm truly impressed with the quality and level of detail in this one plus the other touches you are adding to it, and those pilot figures are the best I have seen in 72nd scale to date!

Great video, easy to follow, relaxed but insightful delivery and hints and tips. Love the Herc, a model I lusted after as a young teen but they were too expensive at the time. I think I was 23 before I got the 1:24 scale Spitfire and with the aid of collected Flight magazines converted it to a clipped wing (for better low altitude manoeuvrability) and a D-Day version with the black and white stripes (to avoid friendly fire). It was the first heavy conversion I attempted complete with weathering and simulated bullet holes on lower surfaces (Axis ground fire). I picked the hobby up again early 50s after my teenage son showed an interest and we had a few fun years in our garage den making models and dioramas for his school projects, complete with TV / KZitem / internet feed (Apple iTV unit I got used for £35) and an old HI Fi rigged in for audio - to help our research and provide light entertainment. I will maybe get back to it :) for myself again in future.

Hi Greg, great build as always. You mention about the size difference between the Hercules and A400m props. The herc was used as a test bed for the A400m engine. If you Google a400m Hercules test you can see the old raf weather research herc with 1 a400m engine and prop fitted which shows the huge size difference. During testing the herc was able to fly on the power from just this one a400m engine. Looking forward to your next project.

Greetings Greg. Another great building. The result is absolutely fantastic. I really like your persistence in finding the perfect color shade. I have one more piece of advice for you on how to remove the tiny gap between the wing and the fuselage without any problems. I had a similar problem with the build of my Tempest 1:32, where my own clumsiness managed to break the wing and part of the fuselage while cleaning the wash. A colleague recommended me to use Perfect Plastic Putty water-based putty. It can be applied very well to an already finished model and the result is absolutely fantastic. The application can be seen right at the beginning of my last part from the Tempesta build. Sorry, I can't send a link. YT would immediately delete the post. Best regards, Aleš :)
