Freakin spot on man. Billy Gibbons played many solos in his life that few can hold a candle to, but the one on Rough Boy was the best solo he ever laid down on a record.

I was a teenager when this song came out. I remember watching the video. I was a troubled teen and this song was sort of my story. It’s the guitar though that just takes the song to a different level. Didn’t think anyone could replicate it. I didn’t even think BG could play it the same twice. Hat’s off.

This is why I love it when fan's of a songs part decide to learn it & whether its the lead guitar/bass/drum part , as the fan's will go out of their way to make sure it sounds like the original & " Rough Boy has a very emotive & huge part of lead guitar that almost makes we want to cry & IF you don't feel those lead guitar parts then check to see IF you have a pulse as you'd need to dead not feel it... It's up there with all time favourite lead guitar parts George Harrisons haunting slide solo in " Free As A Bird " along with Garry Moore/Buddy Guy & the list is endless IF you can let music into your heart , as l wake/eat & sleep music every single day... Just as in good it's always been there to enjoy the little things in life & it's also there to pick me back up again when life has knocked me down... Truly a collection of solo's in this 1 Song that still give me chills up my spine to this very day & Billy Gibbons I cant Thank You enough for delivering one of thee best guitar solo parts in the 80s & still to this day but let's not forget all the other great emotive guitar parts that just flow through us & you have to experience this feeling to know how positive & strong it is when it hits you... This was 1 of my late brothers & I favourite songs that we truly loved together & though at times we couldn't stand to be in the same room together as we were like chalk & cheese but music helped build a bridge that spand eternally from 1 end to the other & via music it brought us together & saw us meet in the middle as music was always our true love & he was an amazing lead & rhythm guitar player & he thought I was a great bassist & it was music that made us meet in middle & any & all differences were always put aside as I knew how much he loved to play music & how he knew I always loved to play music , whether in a band or at home , as music is one of the most powerful ways of communicating to each other when empty words from those in Power always spew out crap that even a fertiliser sales knew no to sell us it as we could see straight through those in Power constant ongoing BS... In light of this still ongoing coronavirus and it's variants stay safe and healthy wherever you are in this world... .....
