Its a Classic! It still make me feel justified to wear my old stained blue jeans wherever and whenever. Mr Gibbons says its Fine and Dandy and she cant borrow them no more. 🎸🎸🎸

In the tradition of many Rock groups, ZZ Top are building on the Blues. And there’s Blue Jeans Blues, Clapton’s Bell Bottom Blues, Tiny Dancer (Blue Jean baby) and many more tributes to denim. Lol. Thanks Eric. Nice reaction, Nick. 😊💖

YES!! Thanks Nick for hitting my most favorite ZZ Top tune. I just wish it weren't so short.. of course, live it is longer and different, but I still love the studio version the best. My second would be Mexican Blackbird. Love the channel. Keep it up guys!

The part where Billy's fingers squeak on the strings is one of my favorite parts.😆 ZZ Top is in my top five favorite artists. On a lot of days they're my number one. I like their albums before Eliminator the best, but that and the following albums are great too. An earlier slow bluesy tune you would enjoy is Sure Got Cold After the Rain Fell.

Every time I hear this song it takes me back to Joey's Home Of The Blues in Tulsa Ok back in the late 80's. So many good local blues bands played there.

Billy Gibbons was as fine a blues-man as has ever lived. Grew up on ZZ Top.

No doubt. No pretension in Billy's playing. Just emotions. And years of playing coming through.

I love it, I love when ZZ plays the blues. This definitely would have fit in better with Eric's marathon than Sharpe Dressed Man. Sorry Nick I'm into the pre MTV days. Fandango is such a great album. But I always wished they would have put out a whole live album, especially from back in those days. But also I love side two, the studio songs are just killer. That is probably my favorite album side of any of their albums. Glad you put this on Nick. Another great bluesy song from ZZ is Fool For Your Stockings. Great stuff Nick.

Thank you, Nick, for sneaking in BLUE JEAN BLUES;- It's a great song and shows a different side of their style. I appreciate your understanding that music, once admitted to your heart and soul, becomes a part of spirit and memories....and never dies; it's a light in these dark days. Thanks, Nick, for shining that light for us all. NOTE: Did you know that Billy Gibbons plays his guitar using a Mexican coin as a pick. He loves Mexico and Mexico City, and especially the food.

One album you definitely need to hit is Deguello. It's got everything you want from a ZZ Top album, with added horns on some tracks as well. I could just list all the songs, but especially the very funky Cheap Sunglasses, I'm Bad I'm Nationwide and A Fool For Your Stockings. Then you've got good time rockers like She Loves My Automobile and Hi FI Mama. Billy's guitar playing is astonishing throughout, and more than any of their other albums, (and I love them all), Deguello really swings.

Great music from back then, when LPs were 30 - 40 minutes, 7 - 10 songs and each of them with its own "identity". Listen to nowadays 60 - 70 minutes CDs, I'm usually bored after 5 songs - I'm talking about rock, not prog😊

Regarding the "marathon" thing, this is just one data point from one subscriber and you are free to ignore it, but I would rather see 10 ten minute videos pop up over a day than a single one-hour plus one. It is a time management thing. 10 or so minutes is so much easier to slip into the odd free minutes that we find randomly through out the day. Also when there are a half a dozen disparate songs and we might have interest in one or two in the middle or near the end, it's hard to hit that play button and wait it out to get to the ones that are of interest. FWIW... I clicked on this ONLY because I know this song, like this song and it was an easily digestible 10 minutes. Again, not complaining, just offering one opinion. Have a great day.

Everyone totally misses the punchline here, it is about the woman not the jeans i.e. he will be so happy when he get's his jeans back because that means his woman is coming back. It's about the women who has his jeans when they split up and if the jeans comeback to him so is his woman.
