I just got one a week ago. So far, it reads higher for blood sugar than my Accuchek, and for BP than my Omron. So if accuracy is important to you, it’s safer to do a proper check with a medical device. However, this watch may still be useful in showing the trend over a day. Heart rate is accurate because it reads the same as my Applewatch and Omron. Has other useful features like body temperature, blood oxygen, sleep, pedometer etc. Considering it costs a tiny fraction of an Applewatch, I guess one can’t complain.

They may be useful for trends indicating highs and lows that may be problematic. The problems is that even if they are initially accurate, they are fragile, which makes them unpredictably unreliable. All lab testers, BGMs and CGMs require periodic testing to assure that they have not gotten out of calibration and work properly when used by the consumer. (Even the Dexcom G7 sensor).

For your information A1C is not an instantaneous measure of your blood sugar. It's an average measure over the last 2-3 month period. So it will not go high right away even if you eat a ton of sugar the night before.

I might have figured out the glucose issue. I was averaging 5 watch readings then used this formula to get mmol/L. (Watch average reading - 6) x 22. Eventually I got the feel for the median value and reversed the formula to translate a chart to watch values. Basically 6.32 to 6.50 is “Good”, lower is “Excellent”, higher is “Poor”. This is an estimated blood glucose value, is not accurate, and should not replace a real test kit. I use it to decide if I have room to eat something sweet and I can time how long it’s takes me to get back to normal.

That BG reading isn't your A1C. 6.35 mmol/L corresponds to a blood glucose level of 118 mg per deciliter which is within the normal range for peaks 2-3 hours after a low carb high protein meal. If it drops to under 5 at dawn and between meal's, it's not absurd. (If it were always higher after meals it might be an indication of a bad sensor, pre-diabetes or type 2. The latter often aren't diagnosed until after there are other noticeable problems.) Those readings are not accurate enough for insulin corrections, but could be suitable for a high/low check (eat, rest or exercize) when it's inconvenient to use a finger stick BG tester. That would put it on a par with the other measurements It does. NONE of them are accurate enough for adjusting ANY medical therapy.

I agree with most of what is said here, but I wanted to point out that the sensor on the back requires direct contact with the skin...wearing it as shown here over arm hair definitely affects accuracy. I either wear it "under wrist" which is bare skin, or I don't wear it at all and just use it pressed against the bare skin of the arm. Also, the mmol/l has to be multiplied by about 18 to get the US measurement standard. Is the blood glucose reading accurate? Probably not.

The CGM companies that make their profits from sensors with a lifetime time of days that cost 100 bucks each don't really have any financial motivation to pursue a replacement that lasts months or years for $300. Tech companies that get their income from selling services and appliances don't have a financial motivation for conducting medical research or opening themselves for opening themselves to medical lawsuits. There are some young research and development companies exclusively devoted to developing non-invasive continuous sensors, like Know Labs. They are looking at developing devices costing under $1000 (which compares very favorably compared to CGMs costing that much or more every year) and licencing the tech.

The f57l glucose monitoring smart watch is certainly not worth the money we paid for it. Not only was the glucose monitoring system at least 60 points higher than my sugar was. but the blood pressure reading was reading much higher and the heart rate was way faster than should have been. You need to set the continuous mode. It takes health check every 1/2 h . Quite reliable but my one REAL BIG PROBLEM was it keeps disconnecting, but it does load info when it does connect. Battery last 5 days . I've had this for 6 months + hope this helps

My H Band pulls in my HR data. Also, the BG is not the A1C. A1C is calculated over a 3 month period. That is how testing comes up with that value. It is still BG but converted into a different value. If you look online what value if gives you, you can convert it into the more appreciated value or one that we are familiar with. And also once viewing it online, you can either print the conversion table out or just get used to the values. I agree though, I am not sure how accurate it is. I'll have to test it with a glucometer to see if there is any accuracy. I too noticed how the blood pressure reading was off by 20 points and that is very misleading and should not be relied on. Great video. You taught me things I didn't know.

A lot of people don't read the manual, but you have to calibrate the Blood Pressure by taking a reading from an actual blood pressure monitor and putting that value in to the calibration setting. It should be accurate after that. Also, you have to wear these watches snugly (ie. tight) in order for them to work correctly.

Also, a lot of these watches are at least IPX65 (which is up to 50m I believe). To get the data from the watch, it must be paired in the app and when on the home screen of the app, if it doesn't start automatically, you have to swipe down from the top of the screen to trigger an update.

For those finding the blood glucose not very accurate, have you done the calibration setting? You need to know your fasting blood glucose normal level, from an actual blood test, and set that into the App. Same goes for Blood pressure. You need to know your normal resting pressure, then set that calibration into the App. This will then give more accurate readings. Still it is not approved for medical purposes, but I find it very good at showing unusual readings when things go a bit off with blood and glucose.
@BoDiddly

I mentioned the calibration in my post after yours as well!
