Wow! Those are some really fine groups. My rifle is very close to yours except I have a Kidd receiver and bolt and I can't group nearly as well as you have. I sent my barrel back to Lilja to see if they could find anything wrong. Using a bore scope it seems that there is some sort of built up right at the muzzle. Don't see that on any of my other rifles including my other Lilja barrel.

Thank you! May try a different bolt or two when you get your barrel back. I'm currently working on a volquartsen assembly that the first thing to go was their competition bolt. Head space was between .0465 and .048. Have a kidd in it now and is running better without as many flyers. Just put in a jwh bolt and will see how it groups with it.

I have recently scaled back to 22lr and I am planning to get a precision shooting rifle next. I never expected the consistency from the 10 /22 auto action. My polymer carbine does better with compatible ammo than I expected. I haven't really thought about building but the value you have along with the accuracy/ precision has me interested in building. I'd really like to see what your groups at 100 look like. It's an awesome looking 22 and some impressive shooting.

@@tommy.22lr Let me ask you this. What barrel are you using and were you able to build rifle yourself. I know centerline require a gunsmith or knowledge of and use of a lathe. I've seen barreled actions and you used existing Ruger 10 22 action. Can someone do that themselves?. Thanks

@sammylacks4937 nice thing about 10/22's is they are literally like Legos. I assemble everything my self and scour the media/other content creators/forums for info on how too. You can dress up an old rifle or use all aftermarket stuff and have a rifle with no ruger parts. The barrel is a lilja.

It is nice to test and see what the barrel likes but often that choice is going to be the most $$. Finding a ammo that has acceptable and consistent performance is I find is most valuable. For many rifles it boils down to SK Rfile or Lapua CX. Lapua Midas is almost always the choice for me when the match matters.

@tommy.22lr well yes and no. You have convince yourself with what amount of $$ you have into the rifle and what cam you reasonably expect out of it. Many shooters expectations exceed their skill and what they re willing to spend to achieve those results. Realize budget SK + or Eley groupings is fine for practice and fun but also in shooting it it trains your brain to accept the errors that cause those bigger groups. If you want perfection you have use perfection every time in everything and that becomes very expensive.

I enjoy the content and hoping you bring more. I had a quick question about the KI barrels and I’m just wondering did you see an improvement over the factory barrel? Some brands of ammo shot great and others not so great but from what I seen in the videos it looked comparable to the factory barrel. I’m interested in one and I’m just wondering if you would purchase again and your thoughts. Thanks again

For me it was day and night with the switch. I ran maybe 3 or 4 thousand rounds through my factory barrel. What I ran into with it was unpredictable cold bore flyers. My first 2 rounds would be out wether it sat for 5 min or 15 min. I did notice a significant accuracy gain too.

As quoted, "Scoring is exactly as seen on the target. To receive a point value of 5 the shot must be totally inside the Blue Star Center. For those shots that break two rings higher score counts." That said, you broke edge on 1, 9, 13,14,18 that you counted as 5. This being a challenge, I'm going to point it out.
