Hi! To pimp the sound of my VIT 701 I put in place the cat/silencer replacement in the middle and kept my exhaust can. This diddn't work well for me. With no 1st silencer and a replacement pipe the bike sounds pretty ugly. Putting in place a tiny (Leovince-) can worked much better, but diddn't do what I wanted. 😞 - Keeping the 1st silencer and adding only an "underslung endcap" could do the job. This seems to be what you've done?! Where can I get one of these? - Following your links I end up seeing an "Eliminator Pipe", but no end cap... THNX 4 info. MfL der Eratosthenes

Hello! I used the link pipe can cut the profile I wanted. I just clamped it on, marked the angle, removed it from the bike, mounted it up in a vice and cut it with an angle grinder, then finished it with a hand file. It took about half an hour, or maybe a little longer. I had the Leo Vince on it before as well and found that the Leo made it sound a little tinny, whereas this leaves a bit more of the bass in and actually removes a little tinnyness at idle. I hope that helps and it sounds like, for you, this will be a zero dollar mod if you already have the link pipe 😁 Thanks for your feedback on my video as well 🙂

@@WeirdlyTechnical Nice , looks clean. I have the LV10 aswell, and find the sound thin. Did noise level rise much ? Neighbour friendly ... The exact link followed my bike but i never tried it, your solution looks better :)

@@kncrash6821 Thanks :) I found that it didn't increase the sound level a lot, it mainly got rid of a bit of the higher pitched noise and bulked up the base a bit... It's noticeably louder when you're hard on the throttle, but I leave it a while before I do that because of the good neighbour thing anyway... I've tried the bike stationary with just the header, no cat and that's punishingly loud at idle, so I wouldn't want to do this without the catalytic converter, but I'd say that, with the cat it increases the volume slightly, but mainly removes some tinnyness and makes it sound like a big bike, which it is :)

Sounds great! Can you share where you purchased the license plate mount from?

Absolutely! It's Competition Werkes, I'll put the link below. It's pretty heavy laser cut steel, but it was the best solution I could find at the time. I'm considering printing a new one in ASA at some point just to get the extra mass off my bike 😁 competitionwerkes.com.au/products/husqvarna-vitpilen-svartpilen-701-fender-eliminator?_pos=2&_sid=964db8322&_ss=r
