Need some hair nets up in that place. And also there is a crap ton of movement, but nothing really going on. Like “let’s look busy!”

You know what? I have to say, this life seems absolutely fucking miserable. He works 18 hours a day, 6 days a week. This isn't admirable, its borderline mental compulsion. Whenever I see a person like this, I think of the movie The Menu. How this aspect of themselves thay brings them joy and affords them praise and acclaim can become an unhealthy fixation. I can't help but find a person like this tragic.

I don't know, i think being really good at something gives you free pass to be rude with people and get absolutely no backslash about it. That argument with the lady while he was cutting mushrooms was very sad, he was rude, but nobody cares just because he was cutting mushrooms without seeing. Peak society really

its so inspiring to watch someone in their profession be so passionate, so attentive. If you haven't worked in a kitchen before, the aggression coming from Gordon's mentor is normal for a chef. They hold insatiably high standards because designing and creating food requires so much attention, so much perfection. Down to every 1/2 teaspoon of salt and every second a plate of food sits out too long.
