I fished out of Whakatane for a few years and enjoyed that bar, especially when it was challenging. A good test of man and machine.

First lesson on your offshore survival course is don't inflate your life jacket inside a cabin. If the boat flips upside down and fills with water you will be pinned to the floor and be stuck in the cabin. Which is what will happen to these guys as these are buoyancy aids and not inflatable life jackets.

Good sized tuna, great to hear that your country is successfully sustaining your fish stocks for their preservation as well as future generations of up and coming fisher persons.
