Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You, 2 as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him. 3 And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. 4 I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do. 5 And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was. John 17:1-5

the vintage blows the fender away despite the fender having been upgraded to be more like the vintage. the fender pickups sound lifeless and dull in comparison. I used to buy and sell 70's Fender basses and can't believe how much people are paying for them. I went through quite as few at around £250 in the early nineties and they ranged from way too heavy ( mid 70's ash body) to a weak in the lows but beautiful looking 71 P bass. Not too heavy but fretwork not great and a dead spot on the neck. The worst quality bass that I have ever seen was an early 80's fender P bass complete with spray gun splatter sunburst and a fillet of wood on the necks heel where it had probably fell off the bench. I didn't even bother plugging that mess in. I had a 60 refinished in a yukky red oxide which sounded dark and hifi and was a nice weight. I wish I had kept that one but the one that I still have is a 92 silver series Squier. Better than most of the others and i will never sell that one. If people want to pay £1500 for a bass about the quality of a good copy then fine. They have to go to work to pay for it not me. some people just have to have the right badge. Good luck to them. I would rather have a room full of guitars instead. I have made my living for several years playing vintage brand guitars. i love them. If anyone wants to donate a shell pink 60's strat though think of me.

Been revisiting Van Halen a lot lately and that’s the thing that blows me away more than anything is just the fluidity of everything he does. You don’t know where the rhythm stops and the lead begins. It’s all just a seamless performance.

I noticed a couple of “improvisations” on the two lead solos, but I liked them, they were very good. It also shows that you have it completely down and are able to take a few liberties with it. Great job bro, excellent tone too.
