This anime would have been so much better if either Trevor Belmont or Ritcher Belmont saved that poor girl from those vampires by killing them.

I’ve got a new idea for an anime that’s an anti harem and reverse harem show. It’s called, “No more Harems”. It’s a story about a 16 year old boy named Ken whose trying to escape a hotel and bath house that his uncle owns after his parents died because the girls who worked there (a a 16 year old tsundere, a 14 year old loli, an 18 year old fan service girl, a 16 year old emotionless girl, another 16 year old girl who shy and has a crush on the main character and a 17 year tomboy) are treating him horrible. Suddenly, he bumps into a 17 year old girl named Momiji, who’s the daughter of a wealthy business man who’s been recently widowed. She’s trying to escape from her household since all of her new friends from her new school that she transferred too after her dad remarried are also treating her horribly. These men include an 18 year old emo guy who shuts her out of his life, a 16 year old pervert who hits on her, a 15 year old boy genius whose a bit nuts, a 17 year old tsundere whose verbally and sometimes physically abuses her and a pair of 17 year old twins who might be gay for one another but they use Momiji as means of hiding their feelings for one another. Ken and Momiji form some sort of bond as they try to hide from their harems which leads to a romance.

To everyone who's non-German, does the name Karl-Heinz sound badass to you? Because it's probably the most ridiculous name I can imagine for a vampire king.

I used to start shoujo manga like these all the time when I was a preteen. I always ended up dropping them half way through because even 12 year old me recognized that most of that content was the type of predatory crap that belonged in a Kik chatroom, not a romance.

All I can say is that this is more worth my time than Twighlight. I waisted THREE HOURS of my time watching that series just because I was curious. Diabolik Lovers I only watch with my sibling so that we can trash talk Yui, the writing and how it's SOMEHOW better than Twighlight. The word being 'somehow.'

Which Otome game is 51:12? I think that one looks interesting. Also just for a little extra lore context Cordelia is even more of a monster in the manga. She asks Kanato to sing to her and then she starts moaning about how his voice make her so hot. Laito was probably not the only one she molested. I think Kanato is so bonded with Teddy is because he used him as a shield against his mother's (barf) desires. The image of Kanato hugging Teddy and looking at his mother with fearful eyes is heartbreaking. This is why the triplets act like demons, a half-demon was their mother and Karl Heinz let her do as she wanted with them.

tbh diabolik lovers has no romance aspect (maybe some with the kiss scenes with kinato and ayato?) cuz like vampires rly have to suck out blood for their needs and they simply found yui's blood sweet like how u find any food sweet and they rly liked tasting it and couldn't stop so sucking out blood for them isnt even romance if ima be honest but maybe it can be if there's special dialogues but otherwise there's rly no romantic aspects in the anime that much, its moreover mystery and drama and horror (i'd say gore cuz of the blood but it isn't to the intense level of it)

It's not really an S&M romance. There is sadism, yes, but the masochist here is the self insert viewer. It's more accurate to say that this is a forced s*x fantasy romance (which is just another way to say r*pe role play). Not everyone's cup of tea, but there's enough interest to make a lot of books and media about it. Trust me, it shocked and confused me too the first time I was exposed to it, but a lot of people love it. Especially with the vampire element, a creature known for its nonconsensual actions.

Why are so many people talking about incest here? They are not blood related, so it can't be incest. Nobrainer. The parents marrying makes them stepsiblings at most. They're not miraculously blood related. Ergo it's not incest. People have to get their facts straight.

So, 100% agree this is a trash story. However there is cultural context: in many countries women are to be seen and not really heard. Like the number of time I listened to a full grown woman tell me “ My man best keep me in my place or he isn’t a man!” (Me: “WTF!?!?”) or “I’m to be his backup not his leader. You’ll never find love if you emasculate your man by being strong around him.” (Me again: “WTF!?!?!”) And we’re not just talking about Asian countries…. We’re talking about all over the world! Also age of consent…. Is different world wide. Understand that most Red states have their age of consent as low as 14!!!! Oh and divorce can only be done once the 14 year old (often a girl!!!) is 18!!!! So they have to “deal” with a marriage for 4 YEARS with little to no consent!!! This is a response to male gaze sister lover manga and anime…. Not cool…. But ya… trash.

Even if Emma was uncomfortable and wanted to complain it would be really awkward and scary for her since they're all brothers. If she complained to one of them they could get mad or defend them, if she tells the Mum she would defend them (based on what we see of her) and telling her or the Car could ruin their relationship and Emma's to ice to do that. Massimo would be the best t to go but he's so mellow and unbothered I'm not sure what he'd do (if anything) and I doubt they'd listen to Ukyo, Louis, or Yuusuke (the only other people I think would actually listen) I DEFINITELY wouldn't tell Iori, he scares me even in the anime

it's like the least of our concerns with this anime-- but i can't believe the hitachiin twins in ouran were such a big hit, who existed to satirise the way romance media sexualises the concept of twins, and how weird (!!) and gross (!!) that is-- and yet we're still doin this twin love shit in anime. twins have been used in narrative to dissect unhealthy forms of attachment for ever, and ouran's use of it actually works in my opinion. i think the anime in particular aims for the twin love host act to be seen as cringy and cheesy, opting for like an almost wince response from the audience to the hitachiin's act in front of customers. the comedy comes from the notion of fetishising twins in the first place, lowkey mocking the demands of their fujoshi addled fans, while highlighting how dehumanising it all is with the inclusion of the 'which one is hikaru' game. not even their admirers have invested enough time into them to be able to tell which one of them is hikaru; girls who come to have tea with them for hours every day, who claim to be in love with them. after years of the boys instigating situations to reinforce their private belief that no one will ever truly love them, know them, as individuals, i imagine entertaining the more obnoxious host club guests on a bad day feels like hearing a death knell. it's... actually kinda heartbreaking. the twins only become real people and not their archetype when the guests leave, and suddenly you're left in a big empty music room alone with two young boys who are terrified of everything in the world except for each other. and you watch them figure out to finally let go a little and stop holding hands after all this time. hikaru and kaoru are a surprisingly introspective look into how co-dependency and enmeshment; how it can spiral into near total isolation, and how beautiful life can be when you stop clinging so hard, and learn to live for yourself. and then... a decade after ouran manga started to print... we get brother's conflict. where twins and triplets are codependent and it's fine. it's fine, apparently. twins felons inherent, preying on high schoolers and sisters and shit... and refusing to apologise for it lmao

Honestly Demon Love Spell did way better, even though it still had an unhealthy age gap (underage)- at least that had the protag able to limit SA unless she consented... I forgot about this one entirely, kinda glad tbh. There are better (even if still problematic) shojo series lol.
