It’s funny how I was considering Train of Thought to be their best album. I forgot about Scenes and Six Degrees. Seriously, having to call this the 3rd best album is just insane. DT really just made 6 incredible albums in a row from Scenes to Black Clouds. Each one with such a distinct sound and feel. Each one providing their own unique listening experience. God this song is just a fucking blast to play on drums though.

I barely listen to the mangini albums except for on the backs and gift of music. don't get me wrong, JP is a great songwriter, MM is probably the best drummer out there and JR & JM are masters of their craft but it was MP that glued those pieces together and made DT sound like DT. I may be biased on my opinion but that's just it.

I think thats passing the line of personal preference and stepping into just plain ignorance. Its obvious you’ve never even given mangini era DT a try and sit in this cage of “mAnGiNi iS jUsT a rObOt wItH nO fEeL”.
