This was only a year after Frasier had ended, but David Hyde Pierce is one of my favourite actors, he has had so many great things he has acted in both on Broadway and on TV

the interesting part of this song is that when it was done in London they either left this song out or changed it from Jews to something else because Jews aren't involved in the British version of Broadway so the song wouldn't make any sense in the UK

I work on Broadway I worked this show ! I love hyde , I love him on Frasier. ! I think he’s very good here but the new Spamalot, the one that just ended yesterday !! Was much better this particular scene and I think the best actor of Robin was your Michael URIE ! The latest Spamalot was terrific, and I’m not a Broadway theater person. I really don’t care for Broadway shows except for maybe a handful. !! But this one was one of my favorites and it’s at the top of my list, and I loved Michael Uri in it he played the part so well the way he delivered the lines they had fiddler on the roof guy who actually was standing on the roof was playing the violin !! he was just great. He was terrific in this part it’s sad that the show ended and close. It said that a lot of more people didn’t get to see it. !! it actually was a terrific show !!

“I suppose we better get out & find some Jews then!” Offered? Shouldn’t be. Jews are THE Saviors of all! Jus’sayin’! My sister-in-law’s Jewish & I’m absolutely sure she’d not be offended. I told of this song being in the show (I’m going to see it this summer!) & she wished to see it if she had the time. I’m SO looking forward to seeing it! Thanks for this nugget, whoever posted it! 👍🤟🙂❤️

At it's core, this is an aria about taking dictation!! That's all. Dictation. The author dictating the letter says a phrase and when the transcriber taking the dictation finishes writing, she repeats the last word of the phrase to signal that the author should continue with the dictation. Sometimes a transcriber gets lost when writing out a long phrase and repeats the words from where she got lost to prompt the author to repeat or clarify; that causes the author to continue the phrase from where the transcriber got lost, repeating or clarifying the words again and then finishing the phrase. And often a transcriber will finish a familiar phrase for the author or the two will finish the sentence together, saying the words either simultaneously or closely, like an echo. This is how simple dictation works. Yet that routine, everyday task and its cadence are somehow elevated to ethereal beauty by Mozart and these two magnificent divas. Amazing!!

Why is Te Kanawa dressed in a mourning dress? That's absurd. I find it rather boring, no sparkling, no charm. I prefer by far Schwarzkopf-Seefried, Sayao-Rethberg, Sayao-Steber, Grümmer-Güden, Della Casa-Güden, Jurinac-Streich, Schwarzkopf-Moffo...

Great performance! Moll is hilarious, as well as a true Bass, and van der Walt plays an elegant Spanisch Nobleman (looks and manners ), he can't believe he's so rudely treated! Even though he pronounces "Ho-u-s" or "Ouf" instead of "Haus" and "Auf" and makes mistakes ( wrong lyrics ). And the action should take place in the 16th century.
