Balisongs are banned in the UK, as are all lock knives, but I would like one for display and practice purposes only. As a fighting weapon the user is more dangerous to himself if he doesn’t understand that the balisong is only for slicing and dicing, and shouldn’t be used for stabbing because, if you hit a bone, the rivets will pop and you are left with a broken knife. Worse, because there is no guard, when you stab someone your hand can slide down the blade and cause you a serious injury and leave your DNA at the scene.

One thing that the government will do is to protect the heritage and authenticity of the knife. It cannot be called "balisong" if it is not made in Batangas. Otherwise it is just an ordinary butterfly knife.

The balisong was created as a surprise weapon. It was quickly deployed and kept in motion to distract the eye of the opponent. By its constant motion and quick attack the opponent was unable to make contact with the person and the user had a strong advantage. Also the persons ability creates doubt in the opponent and more confidence in the person with the knife, it was a perfect design to create control In a confrontation.

It's traditional way of making balisong , it's actually good than screws , screws tend to loose if you're heavy flipper . But these knives are very stiff when new so u need to put oil then play it so u can enjoy flipping .

MaCaRelli 209 dude, seriously, get one of these hand crafted knifes, work with it a bit and then ask this question again... yeah the beast will flip all day long straight outa the box. We all know that already... but these knives are not mass produced by some damn machine. They're made by guys by hand as this video clearly shows amd you know each of those knives is a one off piece. No two knives will be exactly the same. I myself had one that sadly got stolen out of my apartment, there isnt a day that goes by that I don't curse the sod who stole it. It just worked so damn well.
