just lyk you’re not supposed to put seat covers on because the seats have airbags on the side it says that near the door

Love the car the fact that you think license plates should be private. Thousands of people a day see your license plate on the road a day. They see it when you park your car on the street. Censoring your license plates when you are displaying a car or selling it always seems really well..... insane to me....

Yea… I made this video about three years ago and just wanted to be safe at the time but yes doesn’t make a lot of sense now since you can’t really look up private info based on someone’s license plate number

I also have this car!! But i thought you’d like to know the button to put the top up and down does work! You should use that instead of putting it up and down yourself because you can break it actually! And the light for the PRND isn’t broken it just doesn’t have it light, I know i don’t get that either. But it’s great so see how nice you keep your car I love seeing people who have the same car is me I think it’s so cool!

My sister had a 98 Cabriolet exactly like this one, and it was a good little car. Lasted her seven years, and only paid $1,200 for it. This was back when Volkswagen was more simpler, and didn’t use complex electronics that break all the time.

2:55 that small switch doesn't controll your headlight brightness but the gauge's brightness, your headlights work fine, and since they are glass they do not require polishing, they need replacing maybe once in the lifespan of the car.

Thanks for the advice! I’ll have to look into replacing them since they have never been replaced

I just bought a 2000 in white last summer. ❤️ it! Be careful with seat covers. They can impede on side airbags working. Mine is a base GL with manual windows, no cruise, no seat warmers, cloth seats, manual top (in excellent condition) .. but I figured less to break. AC needs a compressor, but it’s a convertible. I will not use it. Its got a nice stereo. Most important :) nice car! Keep it forever! I only wish mine was Stickshift, but it was so clean and affordable enough, I was okay with it. It shifts smoothly.
