1. Dont use pins on certain fabrics like silk and aarin as they'll mark. Do you the clips. 2. Most patterns have a seam allowance but if you're copying a garment then do remember to add it on. 3. Whats she's talking about is tacking or basting - same thing just people use different words. There's no special thread, it's normal sewing cotton. Use something that contrasts so it's easier to see to remove and yes, for more difficuly seams like set in sleeves or slippy fabrics, tacking is very useful. Just remember to tack inside the seam allowance so you don't leave holes in silk and satin fabrics.

Pattern companies are different. Most patterns in the U.S. include seam allowances. Also, read the pattern!

Yes of course, it is just a general tip for beginners.☺️ And sure, some patterns have the seam allowance included and some don't - that's why it is important to be careful 🌸✨

get a loop turner for turning straps!! they're a few bucks at a craft store but superrr helpful for straps! another thing i like to do it use a safety pin too, i'll pin it to one end and feed it through the entire loop!

This is extremely cool but my first thought was Toyota makes sewing machines?? Also just from doing a backstitch on the first row when you start you can just sew it straight and it will crinkle. (Sorry if I’m not making sense I’m just curious and don’t know the wording for it)
@gratus.studio.anjajaklin

Haha yeah they do - funny right😅 and the fact that it is pink 🌸 yeah you can make a backstitch at the start and at the end of the link, or you can make it just at the start and then make this zig zag pattern and make the backstitch only at the end of the fabric. (I hope that makes sense)

To make it easier, you can put a piece of baking paper on top of the "fuzzy stuff" before you sew it. It can easily be removed when you've finished. Edit: Oh, I forgot to say: Great idea!
