She went from cockney to itallian to a southern drawl kinda thing very not-seemlessly, and it was amazing

This us a great concept. It's not a sitcom, y'all.

Yeah it definitely it has to do with the humour/format of theatre comedy skits of that time. Growing up in acting classes, you’d have to find monologues or do a duo scene script and this sounded Exactly like most of them lol! Like the point is not any one joke, it’s just meant to paint a humorous picture, that has the ability to keep your attention and relay interesting information. I feel like a general thing is that, it’s not trying to convince you you ARENT watching a scene/play. So it’s not amazing in any one specific way, but it’s fun to watch if you can appreciate it more so for being interesting and unique.

This play is what got Mindy a job as a writer on The Office. I don't get it. She's obviously a talented girl, but this didn't do anything for me.

It's funny that, 7 years after your post, I looked this clip up after reading her most recent (2020) book about raising her daughter. I've seen her in one movie where she played an assistant to an aging show host but other than that she was an unknown to me. I didn't know how talented she is.

@bhoussock Well only Mindy stars on the Office and her lines are minimal. Brenda has been on the Office 1-2 times and was barely an extra
