I grew up in Ordsall ( st Joey's) and my gran lived adjacent to peel park, I had a great childhood staying with her, it was like living in the country....😊

@@mrsc3120 We lived there until 1964 when we moved to Pendlebury. Mum's name was Betty (Bailey) and Dad was Jim. Mum's parents had the herbalist shop on Cromwell Road. I believe my Dad's Mum had an Off Licence on Auckland Street?

Enjoyed seeing the old buildings. My gran lived on Great Cheetham Street and I recall that we would pass Strangeways Prison on the way to her house.
