Any tips for keeping the bottom packet pressed against the middle finger? It keeps slipping every time I try to bring the top packet over.

The prerequisite for this cut is the scissor cut, which you can find tutorials for on youtube. The bottom packet isn't pressed AGAINST the middle finger. If you learn the scissor cut, you learn to clip the bottom packet with just your ring and pinky (or just your pinky when you get really good at it)
