Great video and very helpful, one point tho, at 8:20 you said RAIM needs 6 satellites to “replace” the faulty one, but to my knowledge it can only identify and exclude the faulty one, not replace.

At 16:10...I'm glad you clarified the OEI crosswind case. The actual book, at least in its 2002 published edition, gets this fundamental basic so very wrong. A lot of disappointing mistakes and omissions in that book. Even the description of lift is quite incomplete relying purely on Bernoulli's Theorem.

You said WAAS based GPS system must still use RAIM. The FAA has said that a RAIM check is not required if you are using a WAAS system and WAAS coverage has been checked to be available. This would seem to mean that WAAS can substitute for the 5/6 satellite requirements of RAIM. Am I understanding this correctly?

i have a question regarding direct lift control as per ace direct lift control - elevator and stabilizer but you’re telling it spoiler I didn’t understand properly can you clear it?
@JETA14
Жыл бұрын
Spoilers are coupled with rolling commands in larger aircraft to avoid adverse aileron yaw,so for a left roll command in the A320 the left wing spoilers 2,3,4 go up increasing the drag on the wing which causes a roll motion
