@@enochianmagic You have to live in Oldham to understand R.J C. I have lived here since 1965 and it isn't racist to say it has changed dramatically with the influx of Indians, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Polish, Romanian and others, you are just as likely to hear foreign languages spoken as much as English and in some areas they are spoken more. It is a fact that the face of the North West has been radically altered and not always for the better.

Just Sum Guy if it is 94 I was at college too!!. Started in 92, best time I think I've ever had, don't like the look of it now with those dull grey buildings, whoever designed those has no imagination.

I thought the same, also seems to start on a part of George Street you haven't been able to drive down since the 80's... Not enough resolution to make out the reg plates of some of the newer cars (at the time) sadly!
@Spike0000

@Scott Ptolomey: It might be cos a lot of people back in the 90's had 80's cars still blending in on the rd..and there wasn't a lot of redevelopment round Oldham til around 2012/15..it retained a lot of its character..Sadly its like another world now....

I must admit, I did hesitate before posting actual evidence of me cycling the wrong way down a one way street, plus the venturing onto the pavement. But the alternative to the pavement is to cycle round the ‘BT’ roundabout. For a bike that would be suicide. Also I have to remind myself to cycle on the left here, as currently I’m living in Denmark and they drive on the right.

And I thought only I rode like that! side walk,oneway streets. Last visit there I got a roasting off a copper for the same scenario as yours,8 years ago.Are the Police after motorists now as opposed to on the beat? Nice one Calvers. I'll be back!! a la swatzerneeger!!!!
