A great track to get good photos, before they put up so much unnecessary debris fencing that you now feel like entering Stalag 13.

Anyone else like the old layout with the keyhole chicane better?

It was strange for me to see Bertil Roos behind the wheel of the 2 liter car because I earned my racing license at his school in may of 1994. One of the things that Bertil was famous for saying is "the grey stuff has more grip than the green stuff and your lap times are faster when you're shiny side up"

I was there! My dad and I loved going to Mid-Ohio at least a couple of times a year. Full disclosure. This was a looong race. We left before it ended.

I was also there. This was a fun weekend. I was in love with the 935K3s.

Go Hobbo! Nice race win. RIP Brock Yates, Brian Redman, and Jim Trueman.I'm from central Ohio, and graduated high school in 1980, so this era of sports cars at MidOhio has a special place in my memory bank.

See how genuinely gutted he was when rival Morton went out of the race. Class Act Redman.

Wow, I didn't expect to see an early GTP car on the grid. It's cool to see the early appearances of the cars that would dominate global sportscar racing into the '90s.

The Lola GTP was a good car.It wasn't as successful as the Porsche 956 or the 962.

30+ years before the Go-Pro camera. Laughed at the size of the camera on that demonstration car. This brings back great memories since I was there that day.

Now this is interesting. Diamond P Sports did coverage for the sport car event in Mid-Ohio in the early 80's. This was before American Sports Cavalcade, and Gil Stratton (never heard of him) doing commentary, before Steve Evens. Also, Brock Yates doing commentary in the pits. Interesting clip.
