Correct - in the same way there is a Plain Bob Cinques and a Plain Bob Maximus, there is a Grandsire Cinques and a Grandsire Maximus. Same method, just on a different stage (viz: the tenor rings the method instead of bonging behind...)

Bit of a flashback to these from RWNYC 2023! I loved these. I can remeber ringing the 6 and smashing hand against the font the first time! Must be intersting when baptisms happen!!

Something I miss here in Portugal. As a boy I remember the bells of St Peter's in Hersham, and later several fine bell sets could be heard where I lived in Richmond upon Thames.

I only realised how much fun threes were when I got taken to a 3-bell tower! Such variety on offer (and often the friendliest of welcomes too, from locals who love to hear their bells). I've got a few 3-bell tower videos to come, when I get round to editing them - watch this space!...

What is there not to like about these bells, a typical joyous light 8, what i can the ultimate wedding bells. Whilst we all asmire to ring spiced max at the minster, how good it is to ring surprise methods on a truly beautifully sounding 8. I would love to ring Yorkminster tenor but i wonder whether i would ever pull it the balance. Lol

They're not that ghastly - they're just not a prime Taylor ring, which sticks out in this City! Tenor is a touch flat, and the treble isn't a particularly good bell, but they work OK as a six. They have colour, granted!

That mini ring at the beginning at the video looked like it was in someone's dining rooms lol they must have a strong ceiling to take the weight of the bells.
