Is a water softener outside a good idea? I live in Indiana and we have horrible hard water and there’s nowhere for it to fit in the house but having it outside seems sketchy 😭. Also does the water softener work for just the inside of the house or the outside as well? Like does it soften the water coming out of the shower and sink as well as the water coming from the spout outside that I use to water my garden and wash my car or does it only work for the inside of the house? Would you also recommend that I have a slab of concrete put down for the water softener to be placed on or can it go on the normal ground as long as it’s an even surface?

I think this is why the pressure of the hot water in my shower is low compared to the cold water. I think the hot water line may be getting full of this stuff. 😔

Looks like you did a great job there. You said you had to get the correct adapter, I'm glad you did it right so the customer wouldn't be inconveinced in the future due to your repair. From your comment I am guessing that they hired a "handyman" to install the first clean out because a plumber would have installed at least a tee/wye combo facing downhill. All in all, a nice job and a good video. Keep it up! 🤠

Hey Bean dip, your connections aren’t even made up completely into the pipe/fitting. Should’ve used a 4 band on it and either gray or blue glue

Good thing you added that vent on to that drain that drain perfectly fine for 70 years I'm sure the customer was so pleased to spend an extra $100 unnecessary dollars and materials and probably another hundred in labor to repair something that didn't need to be repaired. The work is grandfathered in its old it worked when the house was built it's fine

I am sure you advised the home owner to replace all those connections in the house especially when he admitted to them leaking. The costs to repair the house seem waaaay more than the cost to replace them all. Unless he wants the house to flood and get that insurance money. Love your work ❤

TRY THIS: its all the hair treatment products. Shampoos, conditioners, moisturizers, "organic" shampoo bars builds up quickly on the inside of pipes. The thicker the product the more likely it coats the pipes. When the drains get sluggish: Fill a 5 gal bucket full of hot water dissolve two tablespoons of automatic dishwasher powder (NOT the gel or premeasured pods!) add 6 ozs household bleach pour down the drain. let it sit in the p-trap for 30 mins then rise with warm water. The enzymes that breakdown the fats and oils on your dirty dishes in the dishwasher will clean the soap scum out of your drain. The Bleach disinfects and deodorizes the drain

Design of this tank is horrible. No service port, so how to clean? Does it have anode? Check Hajdu's product ( hungarian manufacturer). They have a decent service port on bottom. It makes servicing easy. Parts are cheap, one tank can last 50+ years...
