Our channel is a mixed bag of useful information, I hope. We will be doing everything from Farm life to city life and everything in between. We hope you tune in and learn at little and have a lot of fun.
I believe the SAE 0w-20 weight oil is recommended by GM for trucks with Active Fuel Management. The AFM lifters modulate the engine changing between 4 and 8 cylinders. In 8 cylinder mode, the locking pins in the lifters are pushed outward by spring force, locking the pin housing and outer housing together causing the lifter to function as a normal lifter. When in 4 cylinder mode, the locking pins are pushed inward with engine oil pressure directed from the valve lifter oil manifold assembly solenoids. I've found over the years that it's always best to use GM recommended specifications for oil and use GM parts.

@@graybeardgarage9638If you don't know by know, Your Sears floor jack is a 9-50115. The plunger o-ring is a 3.5x15 trade size. (3.5 dia. X 15mm ID and 22mm OD) My backer ring or the plunger o-ring was missing from the factory(found a exploded diagram online) If you can leave the plunger wiper seal in, do so. They are expensive. As for the main cylinder there are two versions, 42mm(v1) and 40mm(v2). Just measure the CD(diameter) of the o-rings you need to replace. When I get to that point if you still have the jack, I can compare and share the trade sizes of the parts.

I used 1305 Beer caps on my bar. I started with hot glue, but a lot of caps weren’t stuck down the next day coupled with the expense of the glue sticks I switched to GE silicone. My wife complained about the smell of that stuff so I switched again to acrylic silicone. At 3 bucks per tube at Lowe’s, I used up 14 tubes of the stuff.

You guys know what's required to care for those chick's before they can be with the adult flock? They never assimilate together. You will always have 2 flocks. And those chick's need to be as large as your adult birds before they can be allowed to mingle with the adults, or the adults will just pick in them, unless you have a very large area for the new birds to be able get away. Good luck.

We have had a problem as well. We noticed lots of underground tunnels. Hubby built a few wire cages to put over the holes the rats created and set snap traps in them. Been catching these suckers every night. We are in the process of digging out the entire chicken run so we can put hardware cloth under ground and wire it to the hardware cloth sides. We plan to add hardware cloth on the top as well under the roof. We remove all food and water at night in the run as well. It's not a cheap project as our run is 30 foot by 15 foot. We do let the girls out to free range in the yard during the afternoons when we are outside with them.

I miss manual transmissions. Not only were they fun,but aside from someone never having driven one smoking your $200 clutch they were pretty bulletproof 😂. The newer automatic transmissions are so complicated and overpriced that its hard to find a shop that can diagnose and fix one for less than what a new replacement one costs.
