Culmination of so much..............music history and all that which is within us. If I have to say goodbye to rock, rock n roll, and music industry in general, let this be the song to sing us ALL out. My favorite band is Metallica but I loved them all. This sings in a way that is overwhelming yet centering, and I thank all that contributed, the band and all the love given to them that inspired them.

This song ages like fine wine. This song came out when I was 14 during the summer before Freshman year of high school. What it means now, at 33 after losing a parent, a boyfriend, and too many friends… Sage wisdom.

You know, having read the Lyrics, I think this song is relatively inspiring and uplifiting. I think it's the story of a person who, after learning their father is terminally ill, their mother already long since passed, and having experienced tragedy, loss, and pain, is being begged not to take their own life but instead stand as an inspiration to others suffering similarly, and the final chorus is the person remaining humble, acknowledging that they are continuing on, not because they believe they're some grand savior or hero, but because they wish to honor their father's last wishes and keep going despite everything, and the uplifting tone of the instrumentals near the end denotes that once they make it through their suffering, there's peace and happiness on the other end.

I'm so glad I got to hear this song with a movie theater sound system in Clerks 3. Movie was sub-par, but I was caught utterly off-guard to hear it start with this song. So I just shut my eyes and enjoyed the song. <3
